These CDO lawsuits almost sound like another "Pelican Brief" movie plot. Although it's not possible get these cases before the Supreme Court soon enough, and no one can be killed, the conspiracy theory would be to spend mega bucks (under the recent ruling about Corporations being able to donate money to candidates) to get a conservative back in the White House so that the new President can make sure to appoint justices to give the oil companies the edge. There certainly is enough money and enough time.
